Travis started his career as the first School Resource Officer at Madison Jr. High School. He worked there for three years and then was promoted to the Detective Division. Since being hired Travis Williams has served in the following capacities at the Sheriff’s Office:

Detective:
With extensive experience in criminal investigations, he has had the highest felony arrest and conviction rate for the sheriff’s office mutiple times since he was promoted to detective in 1998. Through his leadership and detective skills Travis is responsible for solving hundreds of serious felony crimes and was responsible for the management of a division that contributed to some of the best crime clearance rates in southeastern Idaho.
Travis has over 1630 hours of post training in the specialized areas of homicide, burglary, robbery, theft, special victims and sexual related crimes, child abuse, narcotics, domestic violence, assault and battery, crime scene investigation, fraud and embezzlement, gang enforcement/suppression and internet enticement of children.
